Muncie Food Hub

What’s your connection to local food in Indiana? Follow us to support the development of food as part of our local identity.

Background
Dr. Joshua Gruver (Associate Professor at Ball State University, Department of Science and Sustainability) started the Muncie Food Hub Partnership after hearing the same problem from both sides of the table: local growers had good food without reliable markets, and many Muncie families struggled to find fresh, affordable produce in their neighborhoods. As a Ball State faculty member, he brought students, farmers, neighborhood leaders, and health partners together to design a practical fix: aggregate food from area farms and deliver it directly to the blocks that need it most
