Katie is a student at Ball State University studying Dietetics/Nutrition with a minor in Interpersonal Relations. She became involved with the Muncie Food Hub Partnership when she heard about its new venture, the mobile market, at a Dietetics Association meeting. The mobile market’s mission—making fresh, healthy food accessible to the community—is something Katie is passionate about. After completing her BS in Dietetics, she plans to pursue a master’s degree and her Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credentials. Her hopes for her career include working in the realm of community nutrition for a nonprofit or an agency like WIC or providing care for patients with eating disorders at an inpatient treatment center. When she’s not hitting the books at the library or laughing at science puns, Katie enjoys working out, reading, and cooking new recipes!
