Spangler Farm

We see ourselves as caretakers of our land for all future generations.

“Chad and I started farming in 2012 when Chad’s parents retired from running Spangler Farms Market. We pride ourselves in growing almost all we sell at our farm, on our farm. Spangler Farms Market started in the late 90’s as an honor system sweet corn wagon. It has grown over the years to a large farmer’s market from July through Halloween, open 7 days a week.  We now grow numerous tomato, sweet/hot pepper and squash varieties, onions, garlic, cucumbers, watermelon, cantaloupe, okra, beets, eggplant, tomatillos, carrots, radishes, pumpkins, mums, indiana corn, and broom corn. We have grown the gardens to over 35 acres and 2 high tunnels to grow these items. The most rewarding part of farming for our family is sharing the farming experience with our 2 children. Its rewarding to watch our gardens grow from seeds to produce and harvesting crops. Chad is a third generation farmer, and we see ourselves as caretakers of our land for all future generations. We partnered with Muncie Food Hub as an opportunity to provide our locally grown produce with areas of the county that we can not reach or have access to us at our farm in Yorktown.”
